Badminton NWT is now accepting applications for Team NT coaches for the 2027 Canada Winter Games in Québec City.

This is an exciting opportunity to help guide and support the Northwest Territories’ top young badminton athletes as they prepare for one of Canada’s premier multi-sport events.

Badminton NWT is seeking coaches who are committed to athlete-centred coaching, Safe Sport, and creating a positive, inclusive environment where athletes can develop both on and off the court. Selected coaches will play an important role throughout the preparation process and at the Canada Winter Games.

Coach Eligibility

Applicants must:

• Be members in good standing with Badminton NWT.
• Meet all Canada Games eligibility requirements.
• Hold the required NCCP coaching certification.
• Complete all required Safe Sport and screening requirements.
• Participate in the Canada Winter Games trials and preparation activities.
• Demonstrate a commitment to athlete welfare and long-term athlete development.

How to Apply

Interested applicants are asked to submit a written expression of interest outlining their coaching experience and professional development.

Applications must include:

• Your NCCP number.
• Proof of completed NCCP training.
