The countdown is on for the 2026 Arctic Winter Games in Whitehorse, Yukon, taking place from March 8 to 14, 2026. As excitement builds, Badminton NWT has launched the Coach Selection Process to identify and prepare the leaders who will support our athletes on this incredible journey.

Coach Selection Overview:

Badminton NWT will select two coaches, one male and one female, to represent Team NT. If a coach of the required gender is unavailable, a chaperone may be substituted.

To be eligible, coaches must:

• Be members in good standing with Badminton NWT
• Attend the Territorial Trials in Yellowknife (January 7–10, 2026)
• Participate in all required training and virtual sessions
• Hold or be pursuing the NCCP Introduction to Competition Provincial certification
• Complete Safe Sport Training and Making Ethical Decisions module
• Be at least 25 years old, live in the NWT for six months, and pass a Vulnerable Sector Check

Application Deadline:

Coaches must submit a written expression of interest by October 7, 2025 at 5:00 PM to harmeet@badmintonnwt.ca, including their NCCP number and documentation of certifications.
